A delivery note is a document provided to the customer upon delivery of products or services.
It is used to:
confirm receipt of the items,
detail the delivered items,
serve as proof of delivery before issuing the invoice.
In Fact, creating a delivery note is simple and can be adapted to the sales process and each company’s needs.
Two ways to create a delivery note
From an existing quotation or purchase order

Steps to create a delivery note
Create a delivery note from scratch
Go to the Documents section and click Create document > Delivery
Select the recipient:
Change the billing mode if necessary

Creation date
Expected delivery date
Delivery note subject
Click Next to continue.
Add products and format the delivery note
Add products by searching for their reference.
Insert specific lines (if needed):
Items can be reorganized (drag & drop).
They can also be deleted or duplicated.
Each item line can be customized: label, description, unit price, quantity, discount, VAT rate.
The VAT rate is taken from the product record but can be modified on the document by setting the VAT type to Custom.
Save the document
Click Save to store the draft.
Once in draft, it can be edited, duplicated, or deleted.
Produce the delivery note
Click Produce after verification.
Available actions:
Send by email (PDF attached)
Download (save to computer)
Preview (view the PDF)
Duplicate (create a copy as draft)
Cancel (cancel the document)
Create additional delivery notes
Click “+” under “Delivery note” to generate partial deliveries.
Numbers are incremented automatically, for example:
BL-22020054, BL-22020054-2, BL-22020054-3…
Convert a delivery note into an invoice
Once delivery notes are finalized, they can be invoiced in just a few clicks.

Display amounts and totals on delivery notes
By default, delivery notes do not display prices or totals.
Two options can be enabled in the document template settings to display them:
Show amounts in the line details
Show totals at the bottom of the document
