 The chart of accounts

The configuration of the Dashboard accounts will allow you to manage all the sections in the Profit & Loss and the Balance sheet.


By default, all the accounts are distributed according to the sections defined by the chart of accounts, but here you have the option of modifying these sections, or removing accounts that you do not wish to include in the section, for example.


Isolated accounts in the "Available accounts" will not be integrated into the Dashboard.



This configuration is crucial for the Dashboard application because all widget calculations are based on this association of accounts to the sections of your chart of accounts.


Likewise, the table of Profit & Loss will reflect this configuration.


 Configure accounts

  1. From the Dashboard home page, click on the “Accounting” button located at the bottom left. Or from “Configuration“, then “Accounting” in the list of data sources.
  2. Select the tab “Profit and loss” or “Balance sheet


On the left you will find the list of accounts not automatically associated with a section of the chart of accounts, and the list of positions and sub positions on the right.


Clicking on a position allows you to find all the accounts contained in it.

You then have 2 possibilities:

  • Change the station account: click on the desired account, then drag it to the desired position.

You can then add or subtract it from the section.

  • Remove an account: click on an account, then drag it to the left part.

The account will then no longer be used in the income statement or balance sheet


You can select multiple accounts by holding the CTRL key


 

Advanced options

By clicking on the 3 dots located at the top right, you can access the following options:

  • Refresh data: allows you to synchronize the list of accounts with the accounting software
  • Reset the configuration: allows you to reset the default accounts configuration
  • Automatic assignment: allows you to assign all the accounts according to the rules defined by the general chart of accounts
  • Remove configuration: removes the assignment of the chart of accounts to the folder. Widgets based on account sections will no longer be able to display data.


You also find the possibility of configuring the sense  of an account.


To do this:

  • Select one or more accounts (while holding the CTRL key on your keyboard),
  • Click on “Account sense configuration”,
  • Choose the desired configuration: Debit-Credit or Credit-Debit.


This will update the sum of your account and the associated section.
