How can I create/manage customer's contacts?

Customer's contacts

The "Contacts" section of the customer file allows to manage a list of specific contacts for the  concerned customer.

These contacts are then listed as potential recipients each time an email is sent to the customer.

You can define favorite contacts so that they are automatically included in the "Recipients" field of your e-mail forms.

Contacts in the customer file

In the customer file, the "Contacts" block is located at the bottom left of the screen:

Click on "See all" to display the full list of contacts:

From this list, you can :

  • Create a new contact (button at top right)
  • Edit or delete a contact (action button to the right of each contact line)
  • Designate a contact as a favorite (star in front of each contact)

Add a new contact

From the list of customer contacts, you can add a new contact by clicking on the "CREATE" button in the top right-hand corner:

  • Fill in the information on the form (only the e-mail address is compulsory)
  • Click on "SAVE"

When you send an email to a customer, you can also create new contacts:

If an unknown e-mail address is entered in the 'Recipient' field, the new address is detected and a suggestion window offers to add it as a favorite contact.

You can ignore this window (in which case the contact is not created) or create the contact without making it a favorite (by unchecking the star in front of the e-mail address).

Select/manage contacts when sending an e-mail

When an e-mail is sent to a customer, the recipient field is pre-filled with :

  • The customer's main e-mail address, i.e. the one entered when the customer was created (1 in the example below)
  • The contacts designated as favorites (2 in the example below)

When you click in the "Recipients" field, the list of all remaining contacts is displayed in the form of a drop-down menu:

Clicking on a contact adds them as a recipient.

Clicking on a star defines the contact as a favorite. It will be entered in the "Recipient" field the next time an email is sent to this customer.
